PARISH OF CADDO RECIPIENT OF NATIONAL BUDGET AWARD
The Parish of Caddo has been recognized for its excellence in governmental budgeting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
The Parish was announced as the recipient of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 2017. The award represents a significant achievement in budgeting practices and a commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the award, the Parish had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a 1)policy document; 2)a financial plan; 3)an operations guide; and 4)a communications device.
Budget documents must be rated “proficient” in all four categories and in the fourteen mandatory criteria to receive the award.
The award was accepted on behalf of the Parish by Erica R. Bryant, Director of Finance and Human Resources.
The GFOA is a professional association servicing more than 19,000 local, state and provincial-level governments and financial practitioners. Caddo Parish has been recognized for excellence in governmental budgeting by the GFOA for over 25 years.
